During this time, we've been especially encouraged by stories from our valued vendors. Chilewich is a brand we've carried from the get-go, and while we adore the placemats, rugs and coasters they make for our homes, we love their pivot toward manufacturing vital protection equipment. We recently read somewhere that a crisis tends to "make people more of who they are", and we're beyond grateful to know that the companies and makers we've decided to do business with are some of the finest, most innovative and most generous around. So, we wanted to share this good news from Chilewich with our treasured clients.
"At this unprecedented time, we're using our manufacturing capacity to help those on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis. The Chilewich factory in Georgia is now producing personal protective gowns, which are critical to mitigating the spread of COVID-19. Made of a modified version of one of our wall backings, the gowns are being provided to U.S. healthcare workers through our philanthropic partnership with Fabric Sources International and a consortium of companies committed to addressing ongoing supply shortages." -- Chilewich
