MAYOR TOM HENRY WILL PROCLAIM 2.6.20 AS 260 DAY

COME OUT. SHOW UP. JOIN THE PARTY.

 

260 DAY (2.6.20) is a valentine to northeast Indiana. It is a day where the communities covered by the 260 area code can come together to celebrate and be proud of our choice to live in northeast Indiana.

 

“260 DAY is a grassroots celebration punctuated with deals, discounts and specials from regional businesses, restaurants and organizations. With the 260 DAY-themed deals, we are able to not only get people out and about in the community, but also to provide recognition and a small reward for their smart choice of making the 260 home,” said Fort Wayne magazine Editor-In-Chief Sara Fiedelholtz.

 

“We wanted to create a way for the 260 community to be able to come together and add some swagger to our collective step. We wanted to find a way to boast about our accomplishments. We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to share the pride they feel for the area. We wanted people to feel positive about the good decision they made to live, work and play in the 260.”

Fort Wayne magazine is spearheading the launch of 260 DAY – an ode to our beloved region and has received tremendous support from the region’s key stakeholders including: City of Fort Wayne, Downtown Improvement District, Greater Fort Wayne Inc and the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership.

 

260 DAY is powered by INGUARD Health, an employee benefits, wellness and grocery company that provides health insurance, wellness initiatives and food for all. INGUARD owns grocery stores, including a new location in downtown Fort Wayne which will provide easy access to community health. 

 

“Through our partners, the launch of 260 DAY has garnered incredible buy-in from the region’s retailers, restaurants, businesses, organizations and city officials. We have a wide variety of specials, deals and discounts as well as fun free opportunities for people to show how they are 260 PROUD,” said Fiedelholtz. “Our goal is to make February 6^th, the annual pridefest for the 260.”

 

The February 2020 issue of Fort Wayne magazine hits newsstands Friday, January 31, 2020 and will feature a comprehensive list of the 260 DAY deals, specials and discounts as well as feature articles that capture our collective pride for the region.
