To kick off this fresh new year, we asked Amparo Rojas, owner of Worn Intentions, to lead Team FIND in a gemstone bracelet making workshop.  Worn Intentions is a local company that crafts handmade jewelry, using gemstones, crystals and beads often used in meditation, and which carry special meanings. Skrap Monkey

Artist and designer Mark Schieferstein, based in Asheville, North Carolina, creates jewelry from salvaged metal, resulting in unique, one of a kind wearable art with an industrial, stylish vibe. His handcrafted earrings and necklaces are made of parts from found objects such as umbrellas, typewriters, kitchen whisks, industrial flooring staples and computers, repurposed and reworked into lightweight, signature pieces one would never guess came from a scrap yard.
